     Marcel Guerbet discovered the first ethiodized oil injection agent used in Radiology.

  • 1926: Birth of the Laboratory                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

    Marcel Guerbet and his son Andre set up a chemical and pharmaceutical production site in Saint-Ouen. New contrast products are used in uro-angiography, bronchography, and hysterosalpingography.

     Michel Guerbet succeeded his father as head of the company, overseeing a workforce of 100 employees and 5 million francs in sales. This era marked a significant expansion in both talent and resources, establishing Guerbet as a key  player in the medical imaging industry.

  • 2013: Launch of Gadoterate Meglumine in the US market
  • 2015: Acquisition of "Mallinckrodt's Contrast Media Delivery Systems" business Guerbet acquires Mallinckrodt's CMDS activity, creating a new global leader in imaging solutions and services.
  • 2022: Launch of Gadopiclenol Injection in the US; direct operations in India and China
  • 2023: Intrasense joins Guerbet Group
  • 2023: Marketing authorization for Gadopiclenol Injection in European Union
  • 2024: Marie-Flore Nabor joined Guerbet, in the role of Vice President, Commercial Americas
  • 2025: Jim Patterson joined Guerbet as General Manager for the United States and Canada
